As a pet carer and animal lover I am constantly around animals. This has provided a huge advantage in understanding their nature and physical aspects, and inspired me to become an animal portrait artist.

I work in watercolour or pastel from photographs and I find the challenge in painting animals very satisfying. I believe the key is to be able to bring out the character of the pet, giving the owner a heart-warming memory to cherish for ever.

I regularly visit London art galleries where I am inspired and develop a lot of ideas for technique and style. I am drawn to impressionist works and my admiration for their talent keeps me very humble.
