Jan is known in our family, both in the UK and the US, as “the Pet Angel”, the “Cat Whisperer”, the “Cat Nanny” and “Auntie Jan”!

We adopted Chiko, a handsome, sensitive 6 year old Abyssinian cat from Battersea Cat Shelter. Jan was an important member of our little family,

Chiko had some persistent health issues that required regular medication and monitoring. Jan gently coaxed good health out of him every time she visited. Sadly Chiko is no longer with us but we are absolutely convinced that he enjoyed a longer, happier, more playful, more relaxed life because of Jan’s place in our lives.

As well as being our faithful forever cat friend, Jan is an accomplished artist, thorough house sitter, house cleaner and caretaker. We recommend Jan’s services with the highest praise. The only reservation I have in saying this is that I hope she is never too busy to look after our new little darlings!

Thanks to Jan, we have 2 beautiful portraits of Chiko which she painted. Both portraits hang lovingly on our wall as a comforting reminder of our beloved Chiko.
